Sunday was an equally busy day - we had a full band at church today (9 people - 1 keys, 2 acoustic, 2 singers, 1 electric, 1 bass, 1 drums, 1 djambe) and it was a lot of fun! I absolutely love the full sound and I think for only being able to practice in the morning, we did pretty well.
We had dimsum with Vic's dad, Chris and Michelle for a belated Father's Day lunch and it was nice to catch up with him. He's president of the local Casa de Macau club and so he was telling us about the upcoming events for the year. I joined the Casa this year in support of his presidency (again) and I think he really likes it when his kids take an interest in their heritage.
Afterwards, the 'kids' went back to Chris and Michelle's to have dinner with Faye (Vic's mom) and Angus for another belated Father's Day dinner and it was really nice. I grew up surrounded by family and playing with cousins on weekends and that's pretty much the only thing I miss about the Philippines so it's nice that we're starting to hang out more often. Chloe loves visiting them and Tula and it will just get better once the baby comes! Faye is making the boys' favourite: lemon chicken, so I know that Vic's getting his stomach ready for a pigout session :)
