So when my mom and I went to Walmart last week, I picked up some super cute fabric to start the project and when I got home, I started trolling Pinterest and YouTube to see if there were any fun patterns and tutorials I could pick up as I went along. The nursery is decked out in different tones of beige-yellows and so I selected some bright yellows and grays to mix up. Not knowing how much I should be using, I only bought a few starter sets and now realize that I need more colours and a bigger fabric sheet for the back and binder. I'll keep you updated on the progress and whether it gets finished in time for the baby shower (in July, I think).
I had no idea quilting was such a huge world on its own! I found this really awesome YouTube channel by the Missouri Star Quilting Co. that explained quilting step by step without making me feel like a total idiot for not knowing what I was doing. So I started the other night sewing the blocks together and I'm really liking it so far!
