About a year ago, Vic and I got into the whole zombie thing after reading World War Z and then picking up The Walking Dead. So we sometimes imagine what it would be like if we lived in a zombie apocalypse (yes, we have no lives), debate on whether one or both of us will survive (he thinks he could survive but I couldn't) and whether we would turn the other if one of us got bitten (heck, no!).
Anyway, I was on my Twitter account today while I was waiting for Vic at the SkyTrain and I came across this: "Surrey forest turns into 'zombie combat zone"... ok - what?
Panther Paintball in Langley is hosting what they are calling "Zombie Combat Zone" - according to them:
ZOMBIE COMBAT ZONE is a fight for your life through a ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE!!! Located on 57 acres of insanely creepy forest in south Langley, ZOMBIE COMBAT ZONE is Canada's most authentic Zombie scenario. Upon arrival you will undergo a crash course bootcamp including a briefing on the situation, weapons training, then time to suit up and head out into the zone. Your mission - locate and rescue a group of missing scientists and discover the cause of the outbreak and if possible...stop the plague.
Apparently, it's a scripted experience where you basically are part of a group that has to save scientists from the hordes of zombies that are coming from every which way! All armed with paintball guns and ammo, of course!
Now our goal is to find 10 other people who want to do this - they do it from dusk to 1am Thursdays - Sundays. I'll let you know if we end up doing this! :)
