I went to a church leaders retreat for the new church Vic and I are at - it was interesting because I've never been part of a Pentecostal church before and they are very sincere and heartfelt in calling to the Holy Spirit (who sadly, I don't really give a lot of thought too) but I experienced a lot of neat things while at this short retreat though. There was one lady who was there who has a lot of prophetic visions and there was a time that we all prophetically blessed each other (which at first I was very confused about). But basically it's opening yourself up to the Holy Spirit for him to use you to speak on His behalf. I was skeptical at first, but in the end, I definitely experienced something that I don't normally experience! God's presence was definitely on us - it was a good experience overall and I'm glad I went.
Hung out with my mom yesterday and she let me know that one of the girls who Vic and I used to be close with at our old church is in the hospital (she's 12?) - her appendix ruptured and so they are keeping her there until she's well enough to go home. I stopped by for a visit tonight and bumped into some old church friends whom I dearly miss. It was so nice to chat and just hang out for a bit; really made me miss all the great people at the old church. But seems like God is working on a different direction for us so we'll see how it goes.
Things are very hectic at work and we had someone come and work with us for training from our London (UK) office so we're going out tomorrow to take him for drinks downtown. It will be fun (although I always find it a bit awkward as I don't really drink) but I think it will be a good time :)
I also had to take my camera in for servicing (the screen was flickering) and I wanted to do it while it was still within the warranty period but I'm severely going through some photography withdrawal! I really miss my camera and now I'm constantly trolling Amazon.com to check out lenses. Sigh. This is why I will always be broke. :)
Hope everyone is having a great week! Hope to post more this weekend.
