"The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord thunders over the mighty waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon. He makes Lebanon leap like a calf, Sirion like a young wild ox. The voice of the Lord strikes with flashes of lightning. The voice of the Lord shakes the desert; the Lord shakes the Desert of Kadesh. The voice of the Lord twists the oaks and strips the forests bare. And in his temple all cry, “Glory!” The Lord sits enthroned over the flood; the Lord is enthroned as King forever. The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace."
- Psalm 29:3-11 NIV
Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
This past weekend was Mickey's birthday so the West Coast Da Rozas met up to celebrate! We had dimsum and May was able to come out and play (well, more sleep than play). She is so precious :) I didn't take pictures on my phone so these pics are by way of Vic's Instagram :)
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Last week, Vic and I, along with some friends from church, were fortunate enough to be able to worship with Bethel Music's worship team, who came to Broadway Church from Redding, California as they were here to introduce us to their new album. I was talking to Victor about how much I think I've changed in the way I worship (and in my personal relationship with the Lord!) in the last year - having started in a conservative Presbyterian environment and moving to in a charismatic "Baptacostal" service - but I feel like I'm in a state of spiritual revival (well, I guess awakening is a better word). We sing a lot of Bethel songs at church and they are all incredibly powerful, almost demanding a personal conviction from you as you sing.
One of my favourite songs right now is One Thing Remains (more the Kristian Stanfill/Passion version) which I was surprised was written by Jesus Culture, who is the youth spinoff of Bethel Music, but they ended with this song and thought I would share. Sorry it's shaky and yes, I'm singing off key. :)
I had been taking a photography course these last 10 weeks at the Art Institute (Victor hooked us up with a great discount) :) It's been really great to be able to learn the functions of the camera and know how to get the best possible shot without guessing. Half the course was heavy on learning the basics about the camera and general theory and the other half was loaded with Photoshop. Having never used Photoshop, it was very cool to see the neat functions it can do!
A few years ago, I downloaded a few of the Left Behind audiobooks (Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins) from the library and was hooked. Unfortunately, the library didn't have the complete set and I forgot about it in the hubbub of life. In the last week though, I have been able to get the whole series loaded on to my Kindle (best gift ever!) and it has taken over my life. Poor Vic, I've pretty much stopped talking to him because the only thing I want to do is devour these books as fast as I can.
These books are told from the perspective of people who have been "left behind" when the Rapture occurs and what happens on Earth between the Rapture and Jesus' Second Coming. It's a pretty intense read and spread over 13 books. I highly recommend the series; it's well written, entertaining and outlines salvation without being too "preachy". Have you read it? What did you think?

Loved by the Savior. Blessed with a wonderful husband, a beautiful daughter and an adorable pup.
I love photography, singing, reading, trying new food, organizing, all things Disney and always looking forward to my next adventure. You can usually find me with a book in my hand or talking about Pentatonix. An unfortunate Amazon.com addict :)
Oh yeah, occasionally, Vic will post too. :)
