It's been pretty busy the last 10 days, I'm back in school-mode and since it's all online, it's a little more challenging for me to be able to have the discipline to do all my readings in time... but so far I'm enjoying it. I do find it a little funny though to read some people's work - it's so different when you're talking to someone face to face as they are trying to explain their ideas to you. Reading it is a whole new ball game - there are some in my class that like to think that their work is so much more advanced than everyone else's, but when you start to really read their argument, you find so many holes in it. Sigh. Simple seems to always be best.
Anyway, I can tick something off on my bucket list - Vic and I were fortunate to be able to attend a Canucks game this past Monday (Canucks vs. Minnesota Wild). We lost but it started a 3 game win streak (so far!) and we had fun, so I was glad we went. We have another game this year against the Red Wings in April so looking forward to that as well.
Because of school, I haven't been able to visit my mom like I usually do, but since Vic had to work again today (Saturday), I was able to spend time with Johann and my mom for most of the day. We had lunch at Johann's and I left Chloe there with Michelle while Johann, mom and I went to go see Oz. I thought that the acting was all a little cheesy but it was a visually beautiful movie.
We were invited to have dinner with (another) Michelle from church, who has two kids, Toby and Alicia. It was a nice dinner even if we were an hour late (Vic ended up having to do some overtime at work) and the kids put on a 'show' for us after dinner. Too cute!
