Recently Jas' car completely died. After having it checked out (see previous post), we started checking out new cars. We weren't really serious about buying a new car, but it's fun to look, test drive, and see what's out there. To be honest, I probably enjoyed it a lot more than Jas, and was far more convinced that we should get another car than she was.
I know for a fact that Jas is cool with taking the bus to/from work and even sharing a car for weekends but after she was driving a beater for seemingly forever, and winter coming, I was on a secret mission to find a car that she would like (ok that I would like too) and that would fit into our budget. After test driving and enjoying a number of new vehicles, I knew we would not end up with a brand new car. Basically, Jas would have been ok with getting a more entry level car with less options, however, I was able to convince her that by purchasing a used car, we could save money AND get a bunch of features that she would care less about but that I would enjoy thoroughly. Enter the Dodge Journey....
We were able to test drive a new model and I really liked it. The car is a little big for tiny little Jas but with a little salesmanship, I showed her how a larger vehicle leaves space for future road trips, camping trips, and for family gatherings. We were really lucky that we stumbled upon a used Dodge Journey SXT; only a couple years old, fun options such as the 3.6L V6 engine, back up camera, push button starter, moon roof, rims, and an 8" media screen. Fortunately for us, it was the end of the month, the car has been on the lot for a couple of months so the dealer really wanted to make a deal. All in all, we got the deal we wanted and most importantly, we LOVE LOVE LOVE our new car (truck).
Welcome to the family Journey!!
